BECKs Development Training has been granted an AALA License; the assessments of our qualifications, opera
tion procedures, risk assesments, equipment and observation of sessions has lead to our registration under reg. no. L6265/R1536. This license enables BDT to work with under 18 year old participants in Adventurous Activities. The following activities are licensed: Kayaking, Open Canoeing, Rafting, Kite Surfing, Rock Climbing, Abseiling, Sea Level Traversing, Gorge Scrambling, Canyoning, Tyrolean Traverse, Caving, Mine Exploring, Pot Holing, Hill Walking & Mountaineering, Off-Road Cycling.

The people behind the scenes:

Tony Beck, Operations Manager, From an early age Tony has been involved in outdoor education, from working with young people from all types of backgrounds, to the senior managers of international companies. His priority of working with people in the outdoor environment is their safety, and enjoyment during each activity. Being the founder of BECKs development training, his intention of the company is to deliver a very high standard of service to its clients and work together to meet their needs. Tony is a Mountain Leader, has a Single Pitch Award, a Kayak level 3 Coach, a Canoe level 2 Coach. He is a Cave leader level 1 and a Mountain bike trail leader. Linda Melchert, Managing Director, Linda studied Industrial Management, Human Resources and Marketing for three years in Germany. During that time she discovered that her passion for the outdoors can actually become her fulltime job. Linda then started to work as an Activity Instructor for the Calvert Trust at Kielder until the idea of setting up her own business became reality. Together with Tony she founded BECKs Development Training and jumped at the Homepage creation and Marketing side of things. The experience she gained over the three years when she worked for the international company Infineon Technologies in Munich are invaluable when it comes to Management Training. Linda is a first aider and a mountain bike trail leader and she also holds her GNAS (archery) qualification. Linda is SPA trained. | Freelancers:
